Built in a private sea front property surrounded by flowers and trees, Casa Kalypso is a self – catering establishment, located in Steni Vala, Alonissos, consisting of 5 studios, 2 apartments, 2 suites, and a villa. Due to the slightly - slanted land all verandas and balconies enjoy excellent sea views. A small footpath leads to a choice of two beaches, which surround the property on both sides. A small jetty in front of the property provides boat owners a safe place to dock their boats. Mini markets, restaurants and cafes are within a short walking distance along the beach.
At Casa Kalypso, we have an environment friendly approach. Our belief is that we can achieve maximum guest satisfaction and maintain an attractive tourist setting through sensible use of natural resources. In accordance with eco tourism guidelines and in an attempt to minimize our impact on the environment, we have implemented alternative ways of energy and water conservation. Solar heaters provide running hot water and energy saving light bulbs are used indoors as well as outdoors. In addition to air conditioners, all units have energy efficient ceiling fans. Bed linen and spreads are made from natural fibers and, in order to reduce water consumption, are changed every four days. Non-toxic cleaning agents and laundry detergents are used to minimize impact on groundwater table. Rainwater is collected in specifically designed tanks and is used to water the garden plants and trees while packaging recycling is implemented.
